Peachy Keen

You know that feeling you had as a little kid on Christmas eve? How you would get so excited about what awaited you the next day? Well, for Lisa, that day is today. She even told me yesterday she was more excited about tomorrow (Monday Aug 30) than she is for Christmas.

So, what's going on tomorrow that's so very exciting? Some kind of birthday or holiday? Some kind of news about the baby? Nope, you're all wrong. The answer, of course, is that beginning tomorrow fresh peach shakes are back at Taco Amigo! We will be paying them a visit and indulging on the deliciousness that is a fresh peach shake.

Another great thing about this much anticipated event is that Lisa will be much happier any time we drive past the place now. For the last couple of months we'd be approaching the restaurant with great hopes of some word about the shakes on their sign. Our hopes were met with disappointment time and time again. A few weeks ago, we were driving up to it with the same hopes when we made out the first word of "FRESH". We started to get excited, only to see the next word of "BANANA". BANANA? Boooooo!!!!! So, ever since then, when we drive past, Lisa looks, and sees the sign still mocking us, and yells at it in anger. I find it quite humorous, but I think in the long run, it's best if she's not yelling at signs.

After more disappointment this last week, Lisa actually called Taco Amigo and asked when they are coming. When she found out that they were coming on Monday, she sent me an email with about a bazillion smiley faces announcing the great news. She begged and begged to go there on Monday. She didn't have to do much begging, since I'm more than happy to feast upon the goodness.

So, tomorrow, we get to renew our annual (going 2 years strong now) tradition of fresh peach shakes at Taco Amigo. Make sure you don't miss out. It's something you're not going to want to miss.
