A Sundance Adventure

Yesterday was my company's summer party. This year it was held up at Sundance. It was fun, but it did not come without some adventure.

The first thing we did when we got there was get on the ski lift. There were some pretty cool views from the lift.

After we got off the lift, we went for a little hike. We were told that "there is a short hike to Stewart falls" that is "fun" and "easy." We figured we could go make this "short" hike real quick and go see Stewart Falls. Well, the hike was actually 1.5 miles and pretty steep at parts, going down. We didn't even have any water with us, so we made sure the pregnant one took it nice and easy. We did get there, and it was very cool.

Being a bit parched, I ventured up close to the waterfall and opened my mouth hoping for some drops. However, instead of falling peacefully into my mouth, a huge drop of water abruptly landed in my eye. That drop would have felt much better in my mouth.

We headed back down to the resort a different way, and it wasn't too bad of a hike, but that was also 1.5 miles. When we got back, we hurriedly looked for bathroom and a drinking fountain. We found a sign with "Restrooms" on it, so we eagerly followed its direction. Unfortunately, we could find no restrooms in that area. We went off looking somewhere else and finally found one. It was nice to finally get some water.

Shortly thereafter, we had dinner, and it was wonderful. Both of us were hungry from the hike, which always makes food taste better. I completely stuffed myself. Then, after dinner, we had evening entertainment from Ryan Shupe and the Rubberband. They are a lot of fun, and have some great songs.

And that was pretty much the extent of the party. It was fun, even with the extra unintended adventure. The real adventure, though, will be next year when we get to lug along the little one with us. :)
